Post-conference note

During the InterLOG 2025 conference, held on September 18-19, 2025, at the Faculty of Management Engineering, Poznan University of Technology, a special session organized as part of the BAS4SC project – Business Analytics Skills for the Future-proof Supply Chains – attracted particular attention. The session was chaired by Dr. Piotr Cyplik, DSc, Eng., professor at Poznan University of Technology.

The session aimed to summarize the results of the international BAS4SC project, which aimed to identify competency needs in the area of business analytics in logistics and supply chain management, as well as to propose new educational solutions. The presentations showcased both the results of research conducted in the academic community and examples of the application of modern analytical tools in business practice. This inspired not only researchers and educators but also management practitioners, who had the opportunity to learn how to use optimization methods, digital twins, and machine learning in decision-making processes.

  • Michał Wójcik, Piotr Cyplik, Mikołaj Młynarczyk, and Bartłomiej Rychtarski presented the possibilities of optimizing warehouse processes using graphs
  • Bartłomiej Rychtarski, Piotr Cyplik, Michał Wójcik, and Mikołaj Młynarczyk demonstrated how warehouse processes can be optimized using a digital twin based on Camunda technology
  • Tomasz Brzęczek presented a case study on inventory cost management during seasonal demand fluctuations
