Competition Task - Stage 2

The second stage of the BAS4SC Educational Competition represents the final round, where the teams from partner universities present their advanced analytical solutions and strategic recommendations to an international jury.

This stage builds upon the skills and insights developed during Stage 1 and challenges participants to approach logistics and supply chain problems from a holistic, managerial, and innovation-driven perspective.

Objectives of Stage 2:

  • to apply advanced analytical and visualization techniques to complex logistics data,
  • to integrate business, operational, and sustainability aspects into the final recommendations,
  • to communicate analytical results clearly and convincingly to an expert audience,
  • to demonstrate creativity, teamwork, and strategic thinking in addressing real-world challenges.

Materials provided:

  • Final Data Set / Scenario – an extended dataset or case study presenting a complex logistics or supply chain problem.

Deliverables:

Teams are expected to submit and present:

  • a final written report including their analysis, insights, and proposed recommendations;
  • a presentation summarizing the key findings, solutions, and strategic conclusions.

 

Presentation:

During the international finals, teams will present their solutions before a jury composed of academics, industry professionals, and project partners. The presentations will be followed by a short Q&A session.

The Stage 2 competition aims not only to identify the best-performing teams but also to foster international collaboration, creativity, and the exchange of ideas in the field of future-proof supply chain management.
