Project description

BAS4SC project is focused on modifying and improving the higher education curriculum of supply chain management professionals at universities, resulting in improved processes of recognition competencies regarding business analytics. The project partners are linked by the usage of studies and practical experience in the field that’s very important for the functioning of the global economy as well as for the operational functioning of single companies. BAS4SC project aims to develop such courses that will be accompanied with innovative learning and teaching methods and materials, enabling learners to develop their analytical skills and put them into practice. On that way, the final project goal is ensuring that supply chain management professionals possess key digital and soft management skills for the rapidly changing logistics labour market.

The project is directed to four groups of recipients:

• students - also to candidates for studies, interested in the subject of business analytics for the needs of logistics,
• academic teachers - interested in teaching in accordance with the competency needs defined by business practitioners,
• university authorities - interested in extending the offer of studies and subjects related to business analytics in the area of logistics and modern analytical support tools,
• representatives of logistics companies - interested in acquiring new competences useful in modern supply chains.

The project consists of work packages.

Work package n°1  - Project Management

Work package n°2 - Competnece needs analysis

• The main specific objective of this work package is exploring business intelligence talent development in the supply chain management sector, as basic step of integrated approach to development of educational courses in the field of supply chain business intelligence.

Work package n°3 - Courses programs & materials development

• The main result of WP3 will be 3 courses:
  • C1: Advanced using of spreadsheet to analyse logistics data
  • C2: Business Intelligence
  • C3: Statistical method to analysing a logistics data.

Work package n°4 - Piloting&testing

• Main objectives of this work package are:
  • Ensuring best possible preparation of teachers from partner universities
  • Ensuring that course materials are tested in real environment
  • Ensuring valuable feedbacks from students and teachers
  • Validation of learning outcomes in real world environment

Work package n°5 - Dissemination of a project

• The aim of Work package 5 is to disseminate information about the implementation of the project, it will be achieved through a number of dissemination activities.
